Background

I am an English native speaker from Yorkshire in the UK and have been resident in Austria since 1998.

Experience

Before becoming freelance in 2003, I gained 5 years’ experience as an in-house translator/translation manager with a Vienna-based CRM software vendor. Prior to that, I worked for two and a half years as an editor/translator for a publishing house in the UK.

Qualifications

I have a Master’s degree in Translation from the University of Surrey, Guildford (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics from the University of East Anglia, Norwich (UK).

I am also a Qualified Member (M.I.T.I.) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.
