Background

I am an English native speaker from Yorkshire in the UK, and have been resident in Austria since 1998.

Experience

Before becoming freelance in 2003, I gained 5 years' experience as an in-house translator / translation manager with a Vienna-based CRM software vendor. Prior to that, I worked for 2.5 years as a deputy editor / translator for a publishing company in the UK.

Qualifications

I have a Master's degree in Translation from the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK (1995) and a degree in Modern Languages and Linguistics from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK (1994).

I am also a Full Member (MITI) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.
